WHAT

This Black History Month, The Black Joy Experience, curated by The Sitdown UK, invites you to pause, breathe, and simply revel in our own joy. No marching, no campaigning, no advocating for space... just a beautiful night of conversation, connection, music, laughter, and love. It’s our moment to celebrate how far we’ve come, honour the richness of our stories, and bask in the joy that continues to carry us forward.

As a Black community, we often tell ourselves to ‘keep going’  but rarely encourage ourselves to pause and feel happy just because. This event is about changing that narrative and getting us to tap back into our JOY.

Through panel conversations, workshops and joyful interactive spaces, we’ll explore what Black Joy looks like, sounds like and feels like in 2025.
